I need help!
Hey ladies! I was about to apply to get my very first apartment on my own without a roommate. I have two jobs, I work in retail and I am a dancer. On the renters application it asks for my employment information and I don't know what to put. If I just put that I work in retail then they will find out I usually don't work very much and I make probably about 400 dollars a month from that job. I make the bulk of my money from dancing and that how I pay my bills. Do you think the apartment manager would be judgmental if I put my dancing job down as my primary employment? What did you all put down as your primary employment when ya'll were trying to get apartments in you name? Help!!!!

I am: in need of wisdom!

All I had to do to get into my apartment was bring in a letterhead from my manager stating how much I made a week and I got accepted no problem.

i told them i was an independent contractor. when they asked, i said entertainer. refer them to a trusted manager of yours if they questions.

Maybe just put entertainer? And I agree with the other person, a record of your tips would help too.

My landlord was fully aware of what my roomate and I did. We actually ended up dancing at the bachelor party of one of his friends. Now that I think back on it...I wish i had just said entertainer because I think he got the "wrong idea" about us.

I have two jobs as well, so I brought in a pay stub from one and a letterhead from my club assuring them that I made at least such-and-such amount a week and that I worked full time. It was cake... though the bi-atches at my complex were more than a little judgemental, there was nothing they could do because it's a big apartment complex, I qualified, and I'm bigger than them. *grins*
